Deck of block with properly located water jacket holes

The MR-1 Pontiac block is manufactured to the strictest quality standards.  It is critical that alignment occur with all bolt on stock and aftermarket parts.   That is why special attention was given to the deck of the block.   The water passage holes are precisely placed in the correct location to align with the water passages in the heads. No special machine work is required to allow for proper water flow.

The deck height on the block is set at 10.240" which meets Pontiacs tolerances which we can closely monitor and control due to the accuracy of our in house CNC milling center.

Do you want a dry deck?

Should you want to dry deck the block, the only tools you will need are a 1/4" and a 1/8" pipe tap.  There is NO excessive machining or drilling required.  All MR-1A aluminum blocks come with dry decks.
